災害用伝言ダイヤルは、直接の被災者を対象として設計されている。大地震による災害時には、各電話会社により、電話など通信の混雑への対策として災害用伝言ダイヤルが設置されるなどしている。 また、閉じ込めに備えて、エレベーター内に飲用水や乾パン、簡易トイレなどを収めた備蓄ボックスを設置している例もある。国は2009年9月に建築基準法施行令を改正し、新設エレベーターに安全装置の設置を義務づけた。 2013年3月に公表された南海トラフ地震の被害想定における、上水道の給水人口に対する断水人口は、地震発生直後は東海地方の3県（静岡県、愛知県、三重県）で約6-8割、四国の4県（徳島県、香川県、高知県、愛媛県）で約7-9割、九州の2県（大分県、宮崎県）で約9割と見込まれた。

Next time I read a blog, I hope that it won't fail me as much as this particular one. After all, I know it was my choice to read through, however I truly believed you'd have something useful to say.
